First sculpture for Invercargill's Public Art Trail

The first step — or drop — of a planned art trail around Invercargill was unveiled yesterday.

The Invercargill Public Art Trail Trust held a blessing and celebrated the installation of the Just Add Life yesterday from Arrowtown artist Shane Woolridge, which was placed in front of Invercargill Central Ltd in Esk St.

Trustee Joc O’Donnell said there was huge scope to create an art trail across the city, which would add vibrancy and interest for both locals and tourists.
