A small aircraft crashed near Ardmore Airport in Auckland this afternoon.
Northern fire communications shift manager Paul Radder said the Beechcraft aircraft crashed on landing around 4.30pm.
Two people were on board but were not injured, he said.
"It appears the landing gear collapsed on landing."
Fire crews from Papakura, Manurewa and Papatoetoe responded, Mr Radder said.
"They have just left the scene."
"There was fortunately no fire and no major fuel spill."
