Police have arrested a second young man allegedly involved in a road rage shooting incident in Nelson.
A motorist was shot in the forearm with an air rifle following a confrontation between the occupants of two cars in Rocks Road on Thursday night.
The driver of one of the cars, Jaeden Jordan Scott, 22, of Nelson, appeared in Nelson District Court on Friday accused of being a party to the shooting and police issued an arrest warrant for a passenger Lewis Gordon Sterling, 19.
Police told the court that Sterling had called them many times leaving a number of addresses.
When police arrived at the addresses he was nowhere to be seen.
But Police Sergeant Shane Miles said that Sterling was found in the early hours of yesterday morning and would appear in court tomorrow.
The shot man was treated and discharged from Nelson Hospital.
