A police investigation into the possible link between the slaying of Manawatu farmer Scott Guy and graffiti found on a house being built for him remains unresolved, police say.
Mr Guy, 31, was shot dead in the driveway of his home on Aorangi Rd, Feilding, in the early hours of July 8 last year.
Just over 18 months before his murder - on the night of January 30, 2009 - a home being built by him and his wife Kylee Guy was vandalised, causing extensive damage estimated to be worth around $13,800.
Graffiti with the phrase "Fuken Bitch Slappr" was painted in large letters on an outside wall and another phrase on a different wall.
In an attempt to find a connection between the vandalism and his murder, police released images of the graffiti two weeks ago.
Inquiries into the link were continuing and remained unresolved, Central District Police Communications spokeswoman Kim Perks told NZPA today.
Police had received about 20 calls releasing the images, and they were still getting the occasional call, she said.
