A person is dead after a crash in rural Canterbury yesterday evening.
The single-vehicle crash, on Depot Rd, near Springfield in Waimakariri, was reported about 8pm.
In a statement this morning police said the driver, the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene.
Inquiries are under way.
