One person is dead after a house fire on Auckland's North Shore tonight.
The Fire Service was called to the Wairau Valley house at 7.24pm and arrived to find it "well-involved", a northern fire communications spokeswoman said.
One person died at the scene and another was taken to Middlemore Hospital with moderate burns, St John ambulance spokesman Brett Tobeck said.
