An unoccupied house in Christchurch has been gutted by fire early this morning.
Fire services received multiple 111 calls about a house fire on Avonside Drive about 6.50am, a southern fire communications spokesman said.
When the fire services arrived, the house was "well involved".
The fire did not spread to neighbouring homes, he said.
No one was in the house when the fire took hold.
