A house in the south Auckland suburb of Glenbrook is still cordoned off today after an explosion killed a man early last night.
Police said the suspected clandestine lab blew up about 6pm, killing the person in the house.
Police, ambulance and firefighters were at the house but it was believed the man inside was already dead when they arrived.
Firefighters also set up decontamination areas and washed down other emergency workers who had been in the house.
The house was cordoned off and the cordon remained in place today.
Police have released few details of the incident or the victim.
