Auckland fog disrupts regional flights

Flights are resuming after dozens were delayed or cancelled due to fog at Auckland Airport this morning.

Fog forced the cancellation of 21 domestic regional flights, and 31 domestic regional flights were delayed.

Flights to Napier, New Plymouth, Palmerston North and Tauranga were delayed, while  services to Nelson and Palmerston North were among those cancelled.

Most arrivals at Auckland Airport have also been delayed, some by more than three hours.

However, by mid-morning fog restrictions were lifted.

International flights, and domestic flights to Wellington, Christchurch Dunedin and Queenstown, were largely unaffected.
