Six60 singer Matiu Walters performs to about 6500 people at an O-Week gig at Forsyth Barr Stadium last night.

Otago University Students' Association spokesman Alasdair Johnston said the crowd was the biggest event in O-Week history.

When a large digital clock on stage counted down from 6 minutes and 60 seconds, heavy bass sounded and Walters informed the crowd that ''for the next hour and a-half you're in Six60's world''.

The former Dunedin band then performed Rise Up 2.0 - and the crowd screamed its approval.
