A woman is in hospital with moderate injuries after she crashed her car into a tree in Mosgiel today.
Police said the woman's car had left the road in Puddle Alley and crashed into a tree about noon today.
The woman was believed to be in her 50s or 60s, and police inquiries were continuing, a police spokeswoman said.
A witness at the scene said smoke was coming from the car and another motorist had stopped to help with a fire extinguisher.
