Watch live: Royal cam at albatross colony

The Department of Conservation's live-streaming web camera gives people the chance to observe one of Dunedin's iconic wildlife species, the northern royal albatross.

Doc’s "Royal cam", which shot Moana to internet stardom last year, offers close-up views of a nest at the colony, where a chick was born in the last weekend of January.

More chicks are expected to hatch this season.

The live coverage of Moana’s progress attracted more than 600,000 views online last year, until she fledged and flew away in September.
