Wanted man nabbed in traffic stop

Dunedin police discovered a wanted gang member during a routine traffic stop.

Jeremy Phillip Clark (42), a known Bandidos MC associate, evaded police for more than a month until a car he was in was pulled over during a routine stop in Corstorphine on Monday.

Clark appeared in the Dunedin District Court yesterday on charges of threatening behaviour, breaching home detention (by cutting off his electronic monitoring anklet and absconding from the detention address) and two charges of injuring with intent to injure.

He sparked a series of armed police raids of associates' houses in the Calton Hill area last month as police attempted to find him.

Clark remained active on social media during his time on the run, even posting a message on his Facebook page which read: ''Sometimes you have to flip out and go bat s**t crazy to make a point''.

Clark was remanded in custody and will appear again today.
