Visitors piped ashore

Dunedin piper Bill Swift welcomes Celebrity Century passengers James and Patricia Russell (at left) to Dunedin yesterday at Beach St wharf.

Dunedin couple Paddy and Frances McLaughlan (centre) organised the bagpipe performance for the couple, from Cleveland, Ohio, whom they met last year on a cruise in the Caribbean. Mr McLaughlan said he touted the benefits of a trip to Dunedin to the couple, who had never been to New Zealand, and was delighted they had decided to visit. He looked forward to showing the couple his favourite parts of the city. Also pictured is Heather Walker, of Dunedin.
