Two people have been taken to Dunedin Hospital after a single vehicle crash near Mosgiel this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Tirohanga Rd just after 2.10pm to reports of a car which had crashed into a ditch at the side of the road.
A police spokesman said one of the occupants of the car was trapped and had to be freed by emergency services.
At this stage it was not known what might have caused the car to veer off the road, the spokesman said.
A St John ambulance spokesman said two patients, one with moderate and one with minor injuries, were taken to the Emergency Department at Dunedin Hospital.
