Three vehicles were entered unlawfully in Dunedin over the past two days.
A "locked and secured" vehicle was entered by smashing a quarter-light window in Kenilworth St, Waverley, between 10pm on Wednesday and 8.30am yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Liz Waru, of Dunedin, said a laptop was stolen from the back seat of the vehicle and the glove-box had been "rummaged" through.
A red leather handbag containing a wallet, cell phone and keys was stolen from a vehicle on Signal Hill Rd between 4pm and 4.30pm yesterday.
Snr Sgt Waru said the owner of the vehicle had likely gone for a walk and the car was unlocked.
In Falkirk St, Dalmore, between 6.30pm Wednesday and 10.30am yesterday, a glove-box was searched but nothing was taken. There was no sign of forced entry but the owner reported the vehicle had been locked, Snr Sgt Waru said.
She said there was no indication it was linked to the theft of performance outfits from another vehicle yesterday.
