Police are investigating a series of thefts and reports of prowlers in three communities on Otago Peninsula.
In the past three weeks, Senior Constable Lox Kellas had attended incidents at Company Bay, Harwood and Harington.
Snr Const Kellas, of Portobello, said the incidents had occurred at different times and did not appear to be linked.
In Company Bay, there had been reports of petrol taken from vehicles and damage to cars while at Harington there had been reports of people acting suspiciously around homes during the day.
At Harwood, residents had reported prowlers and a trailer and hot water cylinder had been taken, he said.
There had been ongoing problems with scrap metal being targeted on the peninsula as well.
