Queen's High School pupil Nikkita Cleaver (17) models a wearable art creation titled Roadmaps and Revelations as designer Esther Kelly (16) makes final adjustments to the garment backstage. Both year 12 pupils made the costume using carefully folded maps and sheer fabric. It was a winning entry in this year's annual Queen's High School Wearable Art Performance, held last night at the Kings and Queens Performing Arts Centre in South Dunedin.

Pupils were given the option of creating garments for the performance as part of an elective subject programme. Miss Kelly designed entries for three previous wearable art competitions, of which last year's was modelled by Miss Cleaver.
