A stolen $130,000 SUV was found by police yesterday abandoned in a South Dunedin car park.
Senior Sergeant Liz Waru, of Dunedin, said the 2014 Porsche Macan was stolen from the corner of Forbury and Victoria Rds, near St Clair Beach, on Wednesday afternoon.
The owner had lost her keys in St Clair and had called someone to pick her up to collect her spare key at home.
When she returned, the SUV had been stolen.
Police were examining the SUV in the car park outside The Warehouse in South Dunedin yesterday.
The SUV appeared to be undamaged.
A Warehouse staff member said the SUV had been in the car park since Wednesday night.
● A locked garage in Dundas St, North Dunedin was broken in to between 6.30pm on Tuesday and 8.50am on Wednesday.
A vehicle inside the garage was damaged and paint was sprayed on the garage door.
● A wallet with $215 cash was stolen from the glove box of a car parked outside The Warehouse in Hillside Rd, South Dunedin about 10am on Wednesday.
● Jewellery worth nearly $9000 was stolen from a house in Nicholson St, Forbury between February 2 and 20.
The jewellery, an 18-carat gold fob necklace, gold band, diamond engagement ring with a princess-cut diamond and a 30-year-old oval silver brooch with a "peacock-coloured swirl in the middle'', was taken from a jewellery box kept in a drawer.
