Steampunk outfits made for stage show

Sculptor Chris Meder and designer Anna Holmes-Libbis, both of Dunedin, have joined forces and created costumes for an upcoming stage show, which will also feature in a steampunk fashion show in Oamaru on June 5.

Miss Holmes-Libbis said material such as bedspreads and jackets were taken apart, put back together again and covered with 20 cans of gold spray paint, to encapsulate the steampunk theme, which combines Victorian fashion and science fiction.
