Soap prank carpets Octagon in suds

Bemused cruise ship passengers watched on as the Octagon water fountain spewed out a thick carpet of suds this afternoon.

"What's going on? Is it some sort of joke?" one visitor said.

Teenagers played in the suds, tossing them around and taking photos.

The thick layer of suds stretched from the water fountain all the way to Stuart St.

In the past pranksters have put detergent in the fountain to create the foam.
