Singin’ in the shower

After two long years of waiting, a Dunedin man finally has an accessible bathroom.

Joshua Perry, pictured with Dunedinlist MP and National health spokesman Michael Woodhouse testing the shower in his new bathroom yesterday, presented his submission to Parliament's Health Select Committee last week.

Mr Perry, who has cerebral palsy and uses a power chair, became a campaigner for improvements in the process to make disabled people's homes more accessible.

He started a petition, which received 426 signatures and was received by Mr Woodhouse in May.
