Otago Settlers Museum finances are running better than budgeted, nine months into the financial year.
A recently-tabled report from financial analyst Maree Clarke noted the finances were $26,000 better than budgeted.
Revenue was $56,000 ahead of budget, with the extra income, including a grant from the Otago Settlers Association to support the museum's Pixietown show, and higher earnings from the museum's Walk the City Tours, partly reflecting cruise ship patronage.
Spending exceeded the budget by $30,000, with higher spending partly reflecting the requirements of the museum's major cataloguing project, members of the Otago Settlers Museum Board heard at a recent meeting.
