Two senior Otago health managers will be farewelled from the Southern District Health Board in the wake of a high-level restructuring.
Dr Colleen Coop, former head of emergency medicine and surgery, left last Friday.
Pip Stewart, former head of women's, children's, and public health, finishes next Friday.
When contacted, Ms Stewart said she preferred not to comment.
In an email to staff, deputy chief executive Lexie O'Shea said a joint leaving function was being organised for the two women.
"I would like to sincerely thank both Pip and Colleen for their significant contribution, dedication and leadership to their respective teams and the wider organisation," Mrs O'Shea said.
The Otago departments they ran merged with their Southland counterparts, new heads of which were announced late last month.
The board is yet to appoint one of the five new departmental general manager jobs, that of older person's, community, and clinical support.
Of the four appointed, two were Otago-based, and two Southland-based.
