Pupils and staff of Carisbrook School celebrate the final day of the school year yesterday.

Principal Katrina Munro said the school had a great year, with multiple new developments such as a new playground and an upgraded pool. Pupils were allowed to go home at lunch time, she said.

Pupil Charlotte Roche (13) said she had a lot of fun during her final year at the school. She was excited for the holidays and did not mind what she got for Christmas as long as she got to spend time with her family.

Pupils around the region will return to school between January 31 and February 8 for the beginning of term 1.
