Otago ratepayers face a 2.49% increase in general rates, following an Otago Regional Council decision to approve its annual plan.
The council met yesterday in Dunedin to adopt its plan for the next financial year.
The rate increase is unchanged from the draft plan that was the subject of consultation.
Cr David Shepherd moved to approve the plan, which he said was below the current, and future rate, of inflation.
It included the final year of paying a special rate for Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium, though the rate demand will be about half last year's.
The council voted unanimously to adopt the annual plan.
