Rat revelation rouses revulsion

After revelations rats have been found in Countdown’s Dunedin South supermarket, reporter Ani Ngawhika asked two questions:

1 What do you think of rats being spotted in Dunedin South Countdown?

2 Would you shop at a supermarket with a rat infestation?

1. "It’s disgusting. It’s gross. That’s where everyone gets their food. It’s the most inconvenient place to have rats, in a supermarket."

2. "No, I wouldn’t want to get contaminated."

Molly Wilson-Gallagher (16)

1. "It’s not good at all. It’s shocking."

2. "Definitely not. I’d give it about four to five months of clean records then I’d maybe head back there but other than that I’d just head somewhere else."

2. "If I had to, but no."

1. "I don’t think that’s very good, but as long as they get it sorted then it should be fine."

2. "Probably not, until it’s cleaned up."

1. "It’s probably not a good look for Countdown. It’s pretty poor considering that’s where people buy their food."

2. "Nah, I probably wouldn’t shop at Countdown for a while, especially the one out at South D. It’s pretty poor for hygiene, bit risky."
