Making sure the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of New Zealand becomes more user-friendly and responsive will be Bruce Hebbard's main task for the next two years.
The retired Albert Town man will move from his role as Grand Superintendent of the Otago District to take up the title of First Grand Principal of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of New Zealand tomorrow.
"It's quite a big thing," he said.
Mr Hebbard will be installed at an event during the annual Supreme Grand Royal Arch Conference in Dunedin this weekend.
The conference, transferred from Christchurch because of the February 22 earthquake, would be attended by the Grand Master of the Freemasons Grand Lodge of New Zealand Selwyn Cooper, plus 180 delegates from New Zealand and guests from Australia.
