During the two-day event, 12 salmon were caught on Saturday, the majority from boats, while on Sunday six were landed, mainly by wharfside anglers.
Anglers club secretary Peter Coory said that between $6000 and $7000 was raised, to go towards restocking Dunedin harbour with salmon smelt.
Entries were up from 250 a year ago to 280, but the number of fish caught was down from more than 40 a year ago, to 18. Up to 40 boats took part, he said.
