Artists in residence Luke Hancock (left) and Manu Berry prepare to lead the annual Port-able Art Parade from the Port Chalmers Town Hall to Port Chalmers School yesterday.

The sun shone as children and adults paraded along George St and Albertson Ave to the school, where food stalls and live music by Tahu and the Takahes awaited.

The annual event — which this year focused on the theme of a mythical battle between land and sea birds — has been running since the 1990s.
