Police have released photos of three people they want to speak to in relation to the theft of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery from a South Dunedin business.
The CCTV images show the three people dressed in black with their faces covered and carrying a bag and ladder.
The theft of McAuliffe Jewellers in King Edward St occurred at 4.27am on November 21.
The store’s owner previously told the Otago Daily Times thousands of dollars worth of jewellery had been taken in the "professional" raid.
Constable Joshua Burt, of Dunedin CIB, did not want to comment on the value of the stolen items, but confirmed about 30 women’s wedding and engagement rings were taken.
"Dunedin police are looking to identify these three people who were captured on CCTV footage in the area at the time of the burglary to establish if they can assist with the investigation," he said.
"I do not know if we are dealing with males or females."
"The three people police are trying to identify were last seen running from the area toward Hillside Rd."
Burglars broke into the business through the wall, climbed in using a ladder, smashed into a cabinet and fled with its contents.
