Another Dunedin day, another torched car.
A car burnt out in Blackhead Rd on Monday night remained at the site yesterday.
A police spokeswoman said that the Toyota car did not appear to be stolen.
The Blackhead incident was added to a police investigation into a recent string of car fires.
Cars stolen and set on fire were found on Chisholm Park Golf Course and Kettle Park at the weekend.
Cars have also been set on fire at Abbotsford, Mosgiel and Tahuna Park this month.
Police have yet to arrest anyone in relation to the fires.
Detective Sergeant David Nelson said police were taking the fires "extremely seriously'' and were following a positive line of inquiry.
Police wanted to speak to anyone who had seen cars speeding around the St Kilda area, particularly near Kettle Park, between 8pm and 10pm on Sunday.
