Dunedin police are appealing to the public to locate a pedestrian who was hit by a car on Friday.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said a 37-year old man was driving down Stuart St and stopped at the traffic lights at the Moray Pl intersection at 8.30am.
When the driver turned right into Moray Pl, he collided with a pedestrian on the crossing, he said.
The pedestrian then told the driver he was all right and wanted to get to work and not wait for an ambulance.
He then walked off, Snr Sgt Bond said.
The identity of the pedestrian was unknown to police and they would like to speak to him, he said.
