Dunedin poets and several others from overseas, including Turkey and the United States, produced a kaleidoscope of words and images, and suggested many connections between different cultures, countries and moods at the noon readings.
Readers included Prof Christina Hulbe, a leading Antarctic researcher, and US poet Rushi Vyas, who said attending poetry events this week had been "great".
Master of ceremonies Associate Prof Jacob Edmond was pleased with the success of the event.
It attracted about 20 people, and was one of several in the city yesterday, to mark National Poetry Day.
