Person hurt in quad bike crash near airport

One person has been taken hospital after a collision between a quad bike and car near Dunedin airport. 

Emergency services were alerted to the crash at Momona about 6.30pm today. 

Hato Hone St John was alerted to an incident involving a motorcycle and motor vehicle at 5.57pm.

An ambulance attended the scene, and one patient was transported to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition.

Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said a 29 year old woman crashed into the rear of the quad bike because it did not have any rear lighting and the woman did not see it because it was too dark.
