A pedestrian was taken to hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a car on King Edward St this morning.
Emergency services were called shortly after 11am, and the woman was taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital.
A St John spokesman said the woman was in her sixties.
As of 4.30pm the woman was in a stable condition in Dunedin Hospital Emergency Department, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
