Pecking order

When it comes to free food, there is no messing around for birds. Usually, bigger is better. In the space of a minute yesterday, these birds enjoyed a meal of sugar water from this North East Valley feeder. The silvereyes were in first, before they were bullied off by a bellbird, which was then moved on by a tūī.
