There is a funny side to parking tickets, for enforcers at least.
Photographs of comical parking situations provided light relief at the New Zealand Parking Association's 29th annual conference in Dunedin yesterday.
A photograph competition attracted 30 entries from throughout the country, which were judged by the 70 conference delegates.
Parking meters in lakes, illegally parked police cars and an out-of-date registration with "IOU" written on it were among favourites.
The three-day conference ended with the association's annual meeting last night.
