After previous shows had sold out, parents were unsure if they would need to queue, but some took the safe option and by 9am about 30 people were lined up outside the theatre.
"They are worth it," parent Alison Breese said of the children's entertainment group.
Regent staff could not confirm figures but said the day had been crazy.
The Wiggles will perform two shows in Dunedin on April 7.
