What was once a dull, grey concrete wall in Stafford St is now a colourful montage of artistic graffiti, after more than 30 artists put their mark on it as part of the Ōtepoti Hip-Hop Hustle at the weekend.
Hustle producer Jonny Waters said more than 450 people attended the two-day event based at Errick’s, in Dunedin, which was a celebration of the four elements of hip-hop culture — graffiti art, dancing, MCing and DJing.
"I’m stoked about the weekend. It was a great atmosphere — such a good vibe.
"I think a lot of people who went there for one particular thing, whether it was dance or to watch the live art, they walked away really enjoying all the aspects."
Photographer Peter McIntosh went along to capture the colour.
