Otago students reach moot quarterfinals

A University of Otago law student team has reached the quarterfinals in a high-powered World Trade Organisation mooting competition, held recently in Europe.

Organised by the European Law Students Association (Elsa), the Elsa World Trade Organisation Moot is a simulated hearing in the WTO dispute resolution system.

The Otago team, comprising Emma Foley, Jeremy Stewart and Brierly Broad (all 21) was ranked third out of the 16 teams after the first two rounds of the international competition finals, which were held in Evian, France, and in nearby Geneva, Switzerland.
