At least one person was injured in a head-on crash in South Dunedin yesterday.
The two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Otaki St and Turakina Rd, about 11.55am, Senior Sergeant Craig Brown, of Dunedin, said.
Two people were in one of the vehicles and one person was in the other, Snr Sgt Brown said.
No-one was trapped but all three had to be assisted from their vehicles by emergency services.
At least one person was taken by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital with minor to moderate injuries, Snr Sgt Brown said.
Westbound lanes in Otaki St were closed to traffic while the scene was cleared.
A St Kilda fire station spokesman said air bags were activated in both vehicles at the time of the crash.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
It was unclear what caused the crash.
