Occupy Octagon protesters attended a general assembly in the Octagon, Dunedin last night.

Occupy Auckland's eviction was on the agenda and the small group discussed ways to show solidarity for their counterparts.

Occupy Auckland protesters have been given 48 hours to leave their campsite at Aotea Square.

The protesters have been camping in the square since October 15.

Protest spokesman Chris Glenn said the decision was disappointing and the movement was in the process of lodging an appeal.
