Brothers (from left) Jack, 9, and Rory, 6, McKee and  their cousin Tom McKee, 9, of Waikaia, hold crosses they will add to Toitū Otago Settlers Museum’s field of remembrance for the upcoming Anzac Day commemorations.

The trio yesterday picked the names on their crosses out of a Roll of Honour display at the museum of more than 3000 Otago men and women who died during wartime.

The museum is commemorating the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings with special memorial activities.

For the rest of this week, people can chat and learn about what Anzac Day means to them as they knit red poppies or craft them out of paper between 10am and 5pm at the museum.
