Construction work began at the start of term 4 last year and the frames for the buildings were finally being put up yesterday.
The school had been using two prefab buildings which were "long past their sell-by date" and due to be replaced, he said.

There had been some issues with the groundwork, as the earth was sandy and "quite tricky".
The new classrooms would be built on to the existing block. It was expected to be finished at the end of May.
