Police have named a 24-year-old motorcyclist who died in Dunedin Hospital following a crash near Palmerston yesterday.
He was Cameron Alexander Blaze Johnson (known as Blaze), 24, of Christchurch.
The crash happened about 3pm yesterday when the driver of a Toyota Corona did a U-turn and collided with Mr Johnson's motorcycle on State Highway One between Bushey Rd and Shag River.
The 52-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries and was expected to be released from hospital this morning.
Police say their inquiries are continuing and charges are likely.
