Man dies in South Dunedin

A man has died following a fire in South Dunedin this morning.

Emergency services were called to the carpark of the Nations Church on King Edward St at 10.47am.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Hanna said this afternoon the death was not suspicious and would be referred to the Coroner.

Police said they were working to notify the man's next-of-kin.

He was believed to have been in his late 50s.
