A 54-year-old man attempted to dump stolen goods in an abandoned Dunedin house for safekeeping, police say.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said police were called to Mitchell Ave, in Mornington, at 1pm on Monday after a neighbour saw a man carrying boxes into the abandoned property.
Police arrested the man and charged him with burglary, saying the goods had been taken from another property.
