A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in relation to Friday's drive-by shooting in Thomas Burns St, police say.
Earlier today, armed police swooped on a Highgate address near Roslyn Village and arrested a 25-year-old man in relation to the shooting.
A witness said plainclothes officers wearing stabproof vests could be seen maintaining cordons on Highgate at the Ann and Hereford St intersections about 2.30pm today.

Police appeared to search a building at the intersection of Hereford St and Highgate.
Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said yesterday that the victim of the shooting had been in a car, stopped at the lights on Thomas Burns St near the pedestrian overbridge.
A vehicle driving past saw it, turned around and a passenger fired a shot, he said.
The victim fled the scene and was left uninjured, but shaken.
Damage to the bonnet of the victim’s car suggested it had been hit by a shotgun blast.
Following the incident, police, including Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) members, attended an address in Brighton.
"Enquiries revealed the occupants of that address are not involved in the incident in any way," Det Sgt Smale said.
A 2005 silver BMW, registration GCE188, which police believe was involved in the shooting, had pulled up in their driveway and stayed for about 30 seconds.
The man is due to appear in Dunedin District Court tomorrow.
