The former editor of University of Otago student magazine Critic is threatening legal action.
Callum Fredric, who stood down from the role following an employment dispute with the Otago University Students' Association (OUSA), fired a parting shot at the association yesterday.
Mr Fredric confirmed he had been offered a settlement package by OUSA ''which has resolved the issue''.
The Otago Daily Times understands his settlement was for $35,000, to which Mr Fredric replied, ''I can neither confirm nor deny.''
Earlier this week, OUSA general manager Darel Hall confirmed resolution was reached on Friday, but declined to confirm details.
Mr Fredric said he was considering legal action against the OUSA over the alleged leaking of documents relating to the employment dispute.
